5. Love Actually (2003)

This multi-starrer movie from 2003 is the most recently released movie in this list (Spoiler alert). Set during Christmas in London, England, the movie shows the story of eight very different couples at various stages of their love lives.

The movie is also responsible for making Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ the go-to song every Christmas. If you love romance, comedy, and stars, Love Actually is the film for you this festive season.

However, Rudolph struggles to find acceptance and is ostracised because of his red nose. With the help of his friend, an elf who wants to be a dentist, Rudolph not only gains acceptance but becomes everyone’s favourite.

3. Scrooge (1951)

There are 16 movie and TV adaptations of Charles Dickens’ novel A Christmas Carol. However, the movie made in 1951 that stars Alastair Sim as Ebenezer Scrooge is the one that we love the most.

The movie shows the story of a grumpy businessman who disses the spirit of Christmas any chance he gets. Mr. Scrooge is visited by three spirits that show him the error of his ways as he undergoes a transformation.

2. It’s A Wonderful Life (1946)

They say Old is Gold and it’s certainly true for this movie. Frank Capra directed this masterpiece over 75 years back but the feeling you get every time you watch this movie will still be fresh.

The movie highlights that holidays are not just about presents through the story of a frustrated businessman who receives help. The help comes in the form of an angel from heaven who shows him how life would be if he never existed. It’s indeed a Wonderful Life Movie.

1. A Christmas Story (1983)

This iconic movie would be at the very top of a lot of lists and rightly so. The acting, story, and the feel-good factor that you get while watching the movie shoot this up to the very top of our list.

The story revolves around a young boy named Ralphie Parker who wants a Red Ryder Range 200 Shot BB gun as his Christmas gift. From Ralphie trying to convince his parents, teacher, and even Santa Claus to get him the ‘perfect gift’ to his friend touching his tongue to a frozen metal flagpole, this movie has it all. A must watch every Christmas.
