South Africa Vs India: Kagiso Rabada achieves unique distinction; Rohit Sharma gets a test duck for the first time since 2015

India is struggling in the first test match of the 2-match test series between South Africa and India at SupersSport Park, Centurion. India was bundled out at 245 runs including a stunning knock of 101 runs from KL Rahul and the hosts in reply posted 408 runs which includes a magnificent knock of 185 runs from Dean Elgar and a crucial 84 runs from Marco Jansen. This is the first time since 2015 that Rohit Sharma has gotten out on a duck and the last time he got out on a duck in test cricket was in the second innings of the 4th test match of the India Vs South Africa series in Delhi which India eventually won by 337 runs with the support from back to back centuries from Ajinkya Rahane in both the innings and fifers from Ravindra Jadeja in the first innings and Ravichandran Ashwin in the second. Rohit Sharma has equalled Virendra Sehwag’s tally of 31 ducks in International cricket which is joint-eighth most ducks in international cricket.

Kagiso Rabada now has the unique distinction of being the only bowler to get Rohit Sharma out for a duck across all formats. Overall, he has got Rohit Sharma out for the seventh time in tests and 14th time at the international level.
