December is starting with a bang for all the movie buffs as two of the most anticipated movies are releasing on December 1st – Animal and Sam Bahadur starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal respectively. While it might seem like a big clash between two of the industry’s phenomenal actors, both these movies belong to varied genres. The budget of the movie and the number of screens it is released in play a major role in determining the success of the movie.

As per the survey conducted by ETimes, Animal has gone all out and will be releasing in around 4500-5000 Screens and on the other hand, Sam Bahadur will be releasing in 1500-2000 Screens. Such a huge difference in the number of screens they occupy is solely because of the demand from the audience and therefore, showcasing the movie is optimised accordingly. One can easily find a difference by seeing both movies’ advance ticket booking numbers. The parity in the booking figure is 3,15,000 in the case of Animal, versus 10-12 thousand tickets for Sam Bahadur. Nothing to take away from Sam Bahadur. It is a story that is close to every Indian’s heart and it is the story of one of the greatest sons of India. It is going to become an iconic movie in the history of Indian cinema.

Predicted Opening for both the movies

If we go by the number of screens it is occupying then Animal is set to open on Friday with a 40 Crore number and Sam Bahadur might garner around 5-10 Crore. Again, the predicted numbers are directly proportional to the number of screens it is opening in. Considering the budgets of the movie, both movies seem to be fairing well and needless to say, it is going to be Super December for the producers of both the movies.
