Social media is a very volatile place, especially for wrestlers. Fans have witnessed wrestlers going at each other many times. They saw a similar incident between a WWE superstar and an AEW wrestler a few days ago. The names in question are NXT superstar Je’Von Evans and current AEW wrestler Ricochet.
It all started when Ricochet, now portraying a heelish persona, took to X and said he would ‘squash’ Evans. The Young OG was quick to reply, saying he was training with Shawn Michaels—something Ricochet couldn’t do. Evans even brought Tony Khan into their argument, saying Ricochet would surely beat him if Khan told him to.
The former United States Champion didn’t hold back either. He said that when Evans was just 12, he was training with HBK and had already won multiple championships. Ricochet told him to argue only after he wins at least one. Although the 21-year-old superstar hasn’t won any titles yet, he has accomplished a lot at such a young age.
“You Learned From HBK When I Was 12 And Became A Multiple Time Champion. Now, You’re Wrestling In Front Of 2,000 People, Every Week, For A Crackhead. Talk About An Upgrade Am I Right?? #TheYoungOG“

His unique, bouncy aerial style has taken him to new heights. The Young OG even headlined the Stand & Deliver Premium Live Event during WrestleMania weekend, adding to his growing list of achievements. Meanwhile, Ricochet, who debuted in AEW as a face, has reinvented himself in a new heel role. Recently, he challenged IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. at Wrestle Dynasty but unfortunately came up short.
Je’Von Evans says he doesn’t want to be compared with any other black wrestlers
Evans has been thriving in NXT as a top star over the past few months. His main-event feuds with Trick Williams and Oba Femi received critical acclaim. His match at Stand & Deliver marked the first time three Black men main-evented an NXT Premium Live Event.

In an interview with Bill Pritchard, the 21-year-old star said he felt fortunate to be in the position he’s in. The Young OG added that he plans to keep working hard to make a name for himself. Evans also stated that he doesn’t want to be compared to any other Black wrestler.
“I try to stand out from everybody. You know what I mean? I don’t want to be compared to anybody. I don’t want to be compared to Kofi [Kingston] or any other Black wrestler. I just want to be the first Je’Von Evans. You feel me? And I’m going to keep on proving to y’all why I should be the first Je’Von Evans.”

Evans said he would continue to prove why he should be known as the first Je’Von Evans. After falling short in his NXT Title match at Stand & Deliver, he competed in a Battle Royal to become the No. 1 contender. However, he was eliminated in fourth place by Shawn Spears and Ethan Page.
