Being a popular WWE wrestler comes with its pros and cons. Sometimes, overexcited fans don’t respect boundaries between themselves and wrestlers, especially female wrestlers. Former WWE superstar Paige, aka Saraya Bevis, recently experienced such a moment. A fan deliberately tried to kiss her during a photo-op session at a major event.
After the event, Bevis took to X and shared a message with all of her fans. She requested that her fans not do that. The event was held in Ontario, California, on Saturday. In addition, the former Divas Champion also posted a video during her drive back from the event. Although Bevis said that she was fine at the moment, she further clarified how people should approach her at events.
The 32-year-old star continued by saying that kissing any wrestler or individual without their consent counts as assault. Currently, she is working on her podcast, Rulebreakers. In the latest episode, she was seen talking with AEW personality RJ City. Earlier this year, in March, Bevis revealed that her contract was ending with the Jacksonville-based company.
“Obviously, I tweeted out that a fan tried to kiss me during my signing, actually during my photo ops, to be exact. And I just want to -obviously—put it out there first that I’m okay. I am a hugger, I’ve always been a hugger when it comes to my fans, but going forward I would love if we just stick to handshakes, just to be safer, and just to have a little bit of a boundary.”

It marked the end of her three-year tenure with AEW. She did manage to become the AEW Women’s World Champion during her time there. The 32-year-old star expressed her desire to return to her old stomping ground, WWE. However, she also hasn’t ruled out the possibility of returning to its rival company. Only time will tell what the future holds for Bevis.

Bevis has spoken about bringing back the Paige character if she ever returns to WWE. The former Divas Champion admitted that she preferred portraying ‘The Diva of the Future’ rather than her heel character in AEW. She made a clear choice and picked her WWE character when asked in an interview.
While speaking in an interview with Andro Mammo, Bevis stated that she loved the Paige character. The 32-year-old star further added that she loved the entrance music and admitted that the character was savage. Although she mentioned that her AEW character was different and fun to play, she would always prefer Paige.
“I would take Paige again. Yeah. I love that character. I love Paige. I love the music. I love that she was a bad*ss. Saraya was a different character in AEW. It’s more like a chicken sh*t heel, which was fun, but I preferred Paige, for sure. And if I was to be Saraya, it would be a Paige version of Saraya.”

Bevis achieved a great deal of success during her run as Paige in WWE. She became the WWE Divas Champion by defeating AJ Lee, making her a double champion. The 32-year-old was already the NXT Women’s Champion when she defeated Lee. However, she relinquished the NXT title a few days later. Fans would be overjoyed if she ever decides to return to the Stamford-based company.
