WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg once revealed his painful method for getting ring-ready in his fifties

Bill Goldberg is one of the most iconic wrestling figures in the professional wrestling industry. He has been part of multiple wrestling companies like WCW, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and even WWE. The former Universal Champion has had such a long career that he has captured a world championship in almost every era of wrestling. Back in 2016, he surprised everyone when he beat Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. Later next year, he even beat Kevin Owens to win the Universal Championship.

WWE had some time ago put out a video of Goldberg training at 54 years old. He was out of action for a long period of time before that. Considering his age, he cannot be a full-time wrestler at the moment. However, it seems that he is still training very hard for his occasional match-up. Despite his age, he is focused on remaining fit and willing to step back into the ring when the company needs him.

In the video, you can see him training very hard. He mentioned that considering his age, he is focusing more on flexibility at the moment. It is very important for a wrestler whose body has sustained so much to remain flexible.

The trainer in the video mentioned that it is very important for athletes to keep their bodies flexible. This allows them to have more mobility even at any age. Bill also mentioned the importance of eating correctly during the video. It is very clear that he is on the last leg of his career. He has given everything he has to the industry, and it seems like he is preparing for one last run. It will be interesting to see what WWE plans for him ahead.

Former WWE Head Writer revealed the reason behind Goldberg’s push in 201

When the WWE Universal Championship was unveiled, it was expected to be held by a lot of young superstars. It was the top championship of Monday Night. Later, it became the top championship of Friday Night Smackdown in 2020. During both these periods, Bill Goldberg dominated the roster to capture the gold.

This left fans during that period of time with a lot of questions. They were always wondering why Vince McMahon would push him over young talent. It was recently revealed why by Vince Russo, who was the former head writer for WWE. During his appearance on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Writing With Russo, he opened up about Goldberg’s push so late in his career.

Bro, I don’t think he dropped the ball because he had no other choice because full-time wrestlers were not over… so he had no other choice but to do what he did, but that doesn’t solve your problem of people not being over.

He mentioned that Vince McMahon had no choice but to push the veteran to boost the ratings. He added that Vince felt that the active wrestlers at that time were not over. That was one of the main reasons why Kevin Owens was made to drop the Universal Championship before WrestleMania 33.

It was also further mentioned by him that along with Bill Goldberg, Brock Lesnar was pushed for the same reason. This whole angle explains why Roman Reigns held the WWE Championship for 1316 days. It seemed like once Roman was over, Brock was not needed to hold the belt. Vince further mentioned that Lesnar and Goldberg were popular among the fans not because of the company but because of their respective names. With Vince retired and Triple H in power, we have seen superstars like Damian Priest and Cody Rhodes capture the world titles. This shows that WWE has entered a new direction since then.
