WWE claims 52-year-old veteran didn’t deserve to get brutally attacked on Raw

R-Truth has been one of the most entertaining stars in WWE history. The 52-year-old has found new ways to keep his character funny and connected with the fans. However, the last few months haven’t gone too well for the veteran, as he lost the tag title to The Judgment Day and got attacked by his old friend The Miz.

Last week Truth faced off against a frustrated Miz. He picked up a quick victory over the former WWE Champion due to the distraction by The Final Testament. However, after the match, he was brutally attacked by The Miz and AOP.

In a recent post by WWE on Instagram, they also expressed disapproval for the brutal beatdown he suffered on Raw. WWE shared the video of him getting attacked and captioned it, “R-Truth didn’t deserve this.

As the 52-year-old is a fan favorite, the WWE Universe was also unhappy to see what transpired on Raw. Wrestling fans hope he recovers soon and gets back in the ring. It looks like WWE is trying to make this into an extremely personal feud between the former friends, and fans are excited to see what transpires on the next episode of Raw.

R-Truth believes John Cena will never retire

R-Truth has announced publicly many times that John Cena is his childhood hero. Even though Cena is younger than the 52-year-old veteran, that’s just Truth’s way of showering praise on someone he likes.

At the Money in the Bank PLE this year, John Cena announced that he is going to retire from WWE in 2025. However, it looks like, just like many fans, the announcement of his childhood hero’s retirement hasn’t settled well with the former United States Champion.

In an interview with WrestleMania Binge, R-Truth refuted the idea of the 16-time World Champion retiring. He claimed that John Cena would never retire because of his motto, which is to “never give up.”

“Absolutely not. You don’t know the motto of my childhood hero? Never Give Up. Retiring is like giving up. I don’t see Cena doing that. I don’t feel that. Nobody’s retiring Cena.”

It is fair to say that WWE without John Cena wouldn’t feel the same for many. Therefore, the 16-time World Champion is expected to be still involved with WWE in different roles after retiring from in-ring competition in 2025.
