Samatha Irvin shocked the wrestling world when she announced her exit from WWE just hours before an episode of Raw. Being a fan favorite even without being an in-ring performer, nobody expected her to leave WWE anytime soon.
Many thought the reason behind this could be a jump to AEW, just like her fiance Ricochet. However, recent reports revealed this is not the case, and the real reason is completely different.
Dave Meltzer, a credible WWE insider, shed light on the shocking exit of the 35-year-old in his report. He claimed the real reason behind Irvin leaving WWE was that she wanted to pursue a career in singing.
The report added that she was thinking about quitting the company for almost a year. So, the decision was well thought through and not a rushed one. Furthermore, it is also revealed that she tried to pursue singing alongside her WWE role but eventually had to make a choice.
Irvin took a bold step and decided to leave WWE to pursue singing fully. Wrestling fans expected the real reason behind leaving WWE could be to join AEW and be close to her fiance, but Meltzer confirmed that there are no plans for her to join WWE’s rival promotion. However, he didn’t fully rule out the possibility of it ever happening in the future.
