“It was genuinely hard,” Current WWE Champion claims her WrestleMania moment was tainted due ot Bayley being snubbed

Lyra Valkyria made history by winning the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Title. She was part of another iconic win, this time at WrestleMania. The Bird Lady won the Women’s Tag Team Titles with Becky Lynch at the Show of Shows. However, the Irish star said it came at the expense of her good friend Bayley.

While talking with Chris Van Vliet on his show The Insight, Valkyria revealed that The Role Model missed WrestleMania due to an injury. She admitted that the chemistry between them was really good and hoped to make history alongside her. Although she did get her WrestleMania moment, getting it at Bayley’s expense made the moment bittersweet for her.

She also felt the occasion was predestined because there was no better way to commemorate Lynch’s comeback. Nevertheless, Valkyria prayed for The Role Model’s full recovery and hoped to see her return to action soon. The Bird Lady added that she intends to re-enter the Women’s Tag Team Title picture alongside her after she returns.

“It came at the expense of Bayley, which is a bit sad because we clicked so well as a tag team. So, it was genuinely hard to have my Mania moment come at an expense.”

On Night 1 of WrestleMania, The Man attacked the former Damage CTRL member, preventing her from competing. Lynch eventually took her place and won the Women’s Tag Team Titles with Valkyria. But Bayley’s journey is far from over, and her comeback might be imminent. The fact that she was recently seen working out at the gym is encouraging for admirers who are anxiously awaiting her return.

Lyra Valkyria breaks silence after attacking Becky Lynch on Raw

Valkyria’s performance on this week’s Raw was outstanding. She had the last laugh over The Man by interfering in the Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match. Valkyria appears prepared to pen the next chapter as this intense rivalry intensifies. She reacted to her actions intriguingly after the show.

The Irishwoman took to X and asserted that she was back with a bang. Valkyria also stated that she hadn’t forgotten Lynch’s brutal betrayal, which had cost her the MITB spot—her interference was an act of revenge. Talking about the match, when it looked like The Man had it in the bag, she came and distracted her.

“Guess who? She’s back and she doesn’t forget.”

That distraction was enough for Roxanne Perez, who took advantage and pinned Lynch for the win. It looks like the rivalry between the women is far from over. They had an intense fight at WWE Backlash a week ago, and fans can expect many more matches between them. Only time will tell what the future holds for them.
