“KKR is regretting to release Iyer” Punjab Kings strengthen their position on points table as they defeat LSG in dominant fashion

The LSG captain, Rishabh Pant, won the toss and decided to bowl first against Punjab Kings. They lost their match against the Mumbai Indians by a significant margin. Pant and his men desperately needed a win to stay alive in the tournament. They did have an ideal start, with debutant Akash Maharaj Singh getting Priyansh Arya out for just 1.

Josh Inglis showed serious intent, hitting three sixes in Mayank Yadav’s over. However, Akash got him out too. The Aussie opener scored 30 runs off just 14 balls, with one four and four sixes. LSG had a great chance to clinch the game, but Nicholas Pooran made a grave mistake by dropping Prabhsimran Singh’s catch when he was on just 21.

Captain Iyer and Shashank Singh also made valuable contributions with the bat. They ensured that Prabhsimran’s innings of 91 didn’t go in vain, and PBKS posted a strong total. They certainly did that, putting 237 runs on the board. Young bowlers like Mayank and Avesh Khan had a rough day, with both conceding over 50 runs in their quota of four overs.

LSG had the exact opposite start to what they would’ve dreamt of. Their biggest strength, the foreign trio of Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, and Nicholas Pooran, were all bundled out for just 19 runs. Captain Pant, going through the worst phase of his career, scored only 18 runs before getting out. Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad were the two rays of hope for LSG, scoring 74 and 45 runs, respectively.

Arshdeep Singh was the best bowler for PBKS, taking 3 wickets for just 16 runs in 4 overs. However, Prabhsimran won the Player of the Match award for his 91. PBKS won the match by 37 runs and climbed into the top two spots on the points table. It’s more trouble for LSG, as their chances of reaching the playoffs look slimmer and slimmer.

Fans react to PBKS’ dominant win over LSG in important match

A lot of fans were excited to watch the match, as both teams were still in the race for qualification. However, after PBKS’s one-sided domination with the bat, they felt LSG wouldn’t be able to chase the target. Although Pant’s team got close, they couldn’t cross the 200-run mark.

One fan couldn’t believe that PBKS was in the top 4 and called it an alternate universe. Another fan predicted that Iyer and Rajat Patidar would lead their respective teams into this year’s finals. Many fans felt that the points table was getting tougher and tougher every day. Here are some of the top reactions from the fans:

One user praised Iyer’s captaincy and claimed that he would one day become the Indian team’s captain. Another user stated that KKR must have regretted releasing Iyer, who won them a trophy last year. Many fans boldly predicted that PBKS would finish in the top two. One fan stated that Arshdeep was their key to victory.
