Bayley sends emotional message to fellow Damage CTRL teammate after her shock WWE release

On May 2, WWE released Shayna Baszler, Cora Jade, Shotzi, and several other superstars. However, one of the most surprising names on the list was Dakota Kai. She made a strong impact as part of the heel group Damage CTRL alongside Bayley and Iyo Sky. The 37-year-old was also a fan favorite, with many always wishing the best for her.

The Role Model was visibly upset about the departure of one of her closest friends from WWE. After the release, Bayley posted an emotional message on social media. She took to X and shared several photos of them together with the caption ‘forever.’ The post also included a video of Kai celebrating with Sky after they won the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Kai had many memorable moments during her WWE career. She was a two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion and also held the Women’s Tag Titles twice. However, many fans felt she was underutilized by WWE. They even supported her to become the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion, but that never came to be.

With Kai’s departure, Iyo is now the only active Damage CTRL member on the roster. Kairi Sane and Asuka are currently out with injuries, while Bayley is caught up in a heated rivalry with Becky Lynch. On the April 28 episode of Raw, it was revealed that The Man was the one who attacked her to steal her spot at WrestleMania 41.

Becky lynch takes shots at Bayley and Mercedes Mone’s real life friendship

When Lynch is a heel, she rarely holds back—something she proved again after the latest episode of Raw. The former Women’s Champion took shots at Bayley and former WWE star Mercedes Mone. While appearing on WWE’s Raw Recap podcast, she called their friendship fake.

First, she criticized the 35-year-old for constantly trying to help other superstars. Lynch claimed that The Role Model didn’t understand the idea that it’s every woman for herself. She also took a jab at Mone’s new private fan text service with a sarcastic remark.

This isn’t show friends; this is show business. Bayley is so confused about this; she’s probably paying $100 a month to her best friend to text her.”

The Man joked that Bayley paid $100 just to text Moné. Lynch turned heel after she and Lyra Valkyria lost the Women’s Tag Team Titles to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. On the latest episode of Raw, Valkyria stood tall against her idol and will defend her Women’s Intercontinental Title at Backlash.
