Bobby Lashley is one of the biggest names in the professional wrestling world. The All Mighty has a total of eight world championships across promotions like WWE, TNA, and ECW.
Lashley is a veteran in the wrestling business and has found multiple ways to keep his character interesting. One of his craziest ideas is revealed by current WWE star Karrion Kross.
While speaking with Chris Van Vilet, Kross revealed a crazy creative idea Lashley pitched to him to make their feud get even more attention. Lashley’s idea was to get in a planned backstage fight with Kross, but without telling anyone that it was a work.
The All Mighty predicted that people would leak backstage fight to the dirt sheets, which would cause a massive stir on the internet. He said, “There was one time, Bob was like, ‘You know what we should do? All these guys, they like to talk and they like to run to the dirt sheets and stuff – dude, we should fight at the the beginning of the show, we should get in a fight…”
Even though the 39-year-old liked the bizarre idea, he pointed out serious flaws in it. Kross asked what would happen if nobody stepped in to break the fight and how they would explain to Triple H that it was all work after they were banged up. The former NXT Champion even predicted the possibility of both wrestlers getting fired for pulling such a stunt.
The feud between Kross and Lashley’s faction went on for weeks but never got the fans behind it.
The two-time WWE Champion probably saw the live reaction to his feud and wasn’t happy with it, so he pitched such a shocking angle to add more spark to their WrestleMania match. However, Kross respectfully declined Lashley’s idea, and they went on to have a very lackluster feud.
Bobby Lashley is reported to make his AEW debut soon
Bobby Lashley parted ways with WWE in August after his contract expired. This was All Mighty’s second run in the company after joining back in 2018.
He won multiple World Championships in this reign but recently was on a major decline in WWE programming. Lashley was absent from the TV for multiple weeks before his shocking departure. It seems like the former WWE Champion has found a new home, and it is going to be AEW.
With his former Hurt Business teammates MVP and Shelton Benjamin already enjoying the Jacksonville promotion, it seems just a matter of time before Lashley makes his debut. According to recent reports, AEW thought about the 48-year-old making his debut at WrestleDream. However, they changed their minds and decided to delay it.
As of now, he is expected to make his debut within the next few weeks and finally reunite with his former Hurt Business stablemates. As Lashley is most likely nearing the end of his career, it will be exciting to see if he can make a big impact in AEW in what could be his final run.
