The latest episode of WWE Raw did not disappoint the fans, as it was stacked with multiple high-quality matches. One person who walked out of Raw happy was Iyo Sky.
She competed in a Women’s Battle Royale match and outlasted multiple other competitors to become the number one contender for the Women’s World Championship. The 34-year-old reacted on social media after his massive victory.
Sky last eliminated Lyra Valkyria at last to win the battle royale. Multiple superstars took out each other in the chaos. However, Sky smartly survived that chaos and emerged victorious. After the victory, she posted on her X account a photo of herself, adding the caption “I will be champion once again!!!!” which seemed like she was sending a message.
Despite all the controversy surrounding her future in the company, it seems like Iyo Sky has been successful in overcoming those questions. There are also currently rumors of a falling out with her tag team partner, Kairi Sane. Things are not very clear as to what type of terms they are on at the moment after a heartbreaking loss at Crown Jewel. It seems that there is some kind of tension between the two tag partners.
Former WWE Writer names superstar who should have won the Women’s Battle Royale instead
Former head writer at WWE Vince Russo spoke about Iyo Sky’s victory. He spoke about how Sky was one of the several women fighting in a historic Women’s Battle Royal in Riyadh.
However, Russo said that Sky was not originally supposed to win the match and something happened backstage. He believes that somebody pushed for the result to go Sky’s way backstage.
The former WWE employee further added that he felt that Lyra Valkyria, who was eliminated last, needed to win this match. “Lyra was a fan favorite in the starting and she clearly needed this win,” the former writer added. According to the former head writer irrespective of the battle royale’s result, Liv Morgan will not be losing her title anytime soon.
