“Bring me back in the Marvel Universe,” Former WWE champion opens up about his cameo in Spider-Man Homecoming movie

Austin Theory is a very popular name among the WWE Universe. He is known for his entertaining heel character. Theory has come up from the ranks of NXT, where he crafted his character. He made it up to the main roster in 2021. However, Theory has just not been featured on WWE television but has also been in a superhero film.

The Superstar from Georgia recently appeared on “Insight with Chris Van Vliet,” where he recalled his role as an extra in the post-credits scene of Marvel’s Spider-Man Homecoming. The former two-time United States Champion revealed interesting details when asked about his role in the Marvel movie.

“That was a crazy day. They were actually in the Jackson prison in Georgia. We went down there. We put on prisoner outfits and everything… And a couple of people have caught it online. Maybe they bring me back in the Marvel Universe.”

This cameo, which he played in the Marvel movie, took place before he made it to WWE. He further added by saying that they should bring him back into the Marvel Universe. Being a part of WWE has definitely gained him more popularity, and he would be a better fit for another role, he added.

Austin is currently a prominent figure on SmackDown. He is known for his athleticism, charisma, and arrogant persona. Despite having a failed Money in the Bank cash-in, he had a high-profile feed with John Cena during Wrestlemania 39. He managed to defeat the Franchise Player. His wrestling career definitely is one to keep an eye out for.

Austin Thoery finally opened up about his failed cash-in attempt on Seth Rollins. He cashed in on Rollins for the United States Championship on November 7, 2022. This segment took place on an episode of Raw.

However, his moment was ruined by Bobby Lashley and a curb stomp by the champion. He reflected on this during his appearance on “Insights with Chris Van Vliet.” Theory said that he felt that there was never a plan for him to succeed with the briefcase. The former Tag Team Champion said that he would have preferred to cash in on WWE Champion Roman Reigns and fail instead of cashing in on Rollins and failing.

I don’t feel like there’s ever a plan. To be honest with you, the only thing that I kind of knew that was going to be if you know a match you’re going to have at a pay-per-view… would have loved to cash in on Roman; even if it was a failed attempt.

Things, however, would take a turn for the better for him later. He would become the United States champion at the WWE Survivor Series in November 2022. Theory also got his revenge on Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley in a triple-threat match. Theory is currently one-half of tag team A-Town Down with Greyson Waller. They even had their WrestleMania moment where they became WWE Tag Team Champions in a ladder match.
