Drew McIntyre extends his winning streak to 10-0 against former WWE champion after hard-fought battle on Raw

Drew McIntyre has been on a mission to take out the members of the Original Bloodline. He seems to have started off by attacking Sami Zayn some weeks ago. On the recent episode of Monday Night Raw, both men came face to face in single action. Before the match, Sami Zayn was already suffering from a back injury. Despite that, he decided to go ahead and face Drew.

Throughout the whole match, it was very clear that Sami was in a lot of pain. At one point in time, it seemed like he had McIntyre cornered and ready for the Helluva kick. However, during that period, his back gave out, and he was unable to execute the move. This gave McIntyre the advantage to capitalize, and he delivered his Claymore Kick to seal the match.

After the match, Raw commentator Joe Tessitore reminded the WWE Universe about Sami Zayn’s 0-10 winless record against Drew McIntyre. McIntyre has defeated Sami three times during this calendar year. Two out of those three defeats have come in December itself. This is not a good record to keep considering Drew attacking the people who are close to Sami.

There was involvement from the New Bloodline as well after the match. Even after pinning Sami, Drew decided to further attack him before Jey Uso came to the rescue. The New Bloodline interfered with an attack on Uso and Zayn, leaving them to see the lights.

Sami Zayn tells Drew McIntyre to stop blaming others

The latest episode of Monday Night Raw kicked off with Drew McIntyre coming to the ring. He cut a very heartfelt promo regarding his time away from the ring in Scotland. Drew opened up and explained to the audience regarding his absence that he was suffering from a personal loss. He also mentioned that he has even sacrificed birthday parties, funerals, and even weddings for wrestling in the long run.

However, one thing that made him very angry was that nobody even cared to check on him from WWE. This whole segment prompted Sam Zayn to come out and speak with Drew. He mentioned that he understands why the Scottish Warrior is angry. But he further also tried to make him understand that he had no idea Drew was going through such a dark time. According to Sami, everyone thought that Drew had gone back home to recover from his Hell in a Cell match against CM Punk.

I thought, like everybody else, you were recovering from one of the most vicious Hell in a Cell matches of all time. I know that’s what I thought; I know that’s what the guys and the girls in the back thought; I know that’s what the fans thought.

He further told Drew to stop complaining and blaming others for his frustrations. It was mentioned by him in the promo that everybody suffers in different aspects of life. Financially, emotionally, and even physically, every single person around the world goes through problems. Zayn did not stop there. He even said that he has also experienced what Drew went through. He told him to stop complaining and tried to remind him how fortunate he is to be a WWE Superstar.
