“This is super disrespectful”- Wrestling fans infuriated as photo of ‘UNMASKED’ Penta goes viral after joining WWE

Penta has been a top star since making his WWE debut on the January 13th episode of Raw. Like most luchadors, he has shown tremendous respect for his culture by wearing his iconic mask everywhere he goes. However, the WWE Universe recently saw him in a way they never had before.

A user took to X and shared a picture of Penta during his trip to Buffalo, New York. However, this photo showed the superstar luchador without his mask. In his long wrestling career, fans may have seen the 40-year-old star’s face for the first time ever.

Speaking of other luchadors in WWE, fans have seen Rey Mysterio wrestle unmasked multiple times. His rivals, Randy Orton and the late Eddie Guerrero, attempted to rip his mask off. Meanwhile, his son, Dominik Mysterio, has been a familiar face in wrestling since childhood and also competes without a mask.

Penta delivered an impressive performance at the Royal Rumble PLE, lasting 41 minutes after entering at number 2. Since then, he has been embroiled in a rivalry with Pete Dunne and Ludwig Kaiser. On last week’s Raw, the German wrestler secured a victory over Penta. Time will reveal the winner when this rivalry reaches its peak.

Wrestling Universe reacts after seeing Penta unmasked

Wrestling fans were upset that the internet exposed their beloved superstar Penta’s face. They expressed their anger toward the user who originally posted the picture on social media, criticizing them for being disrespectful.

One fan still couldn’t believe that it was actually the 40-year-old’s face. Another fan felt sad for him and said that exposing his face was highly disrespectful to his culture. Some fans stated that it simply felt wrong to see Mexican wrestlers without their masks. Here are some of the reactions from fans:

One user stated that everyone who shared the picture online was at fault. Another user dragged the company rivalry into the discussion, claiming that Penta had made a big mistake by joining WWE. Some fans ignored the picture, choosing to believe they had never seen it. Meanwhile, others found humor in the situation and called it hilarious.
