Many WWE fans are not happy on this Road to WrestleMania 41. The hype is low and some rumored matches feel forced. However, WWE’s recent announcement regarding The Rock’s return tomorrow on SmackDown has raised hope for the WWE Universe. A few hours back, Rocky has hyped the Friday Night saying that he would be there to handle business and greet the Crescent City of New Orleans.
The People’s Champion has promised to “handle business” in his signature electrifying style but also added that he would “f*ck up a certain someone’s life” with this Final Boss approach. He also wants to deliver a beautiful gift to New Orleans with his presence and maybe also a future announcement.
There is no confirmation on who exactly is Rock mentioning to “f*ck up” here, but it seems like Roman Reigns could be the target here. The New Orleans gift could see the city hosting WrestleMania 42 in 2025 and The Great One is just here for its confirmation. His handling of the business could be his TKO responsibilities but mostly aiming at his storyline involvement.
The last time we saw The Final Boss was on Jan 7, 2025, episode of NXT. The promo he cut was weird and had to be wrapped up due to time restraints. However, just a night before on Jan 6, 2025, episode of RAW (debut on Netflix), Rocky opened the show and mended fences with Cody Rhodes and honored Roman Reigns by presenting him with their traditional Ula Fala.
Triple H hints at a pivot in their storyline due to The Rock’s involvement
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is set to grace Friday Night SmackDown. WWE and Rock both confirmed this a few hours back and left the WWE Universe in awe. This has not only hyped the SmackDown episode but also promised a ray of hope onwards WrestleMania 42. The same feeling has occurred for WWE CCO, Triple H, who promises that “anything is possible”.
In a press release, Hunter has said that everything could change in an instant as The Final Boss comes on SmackDown. This means that a storyline pivot is still possible and could have The Brahma Bull’s involvement at WrestleMania 42. Last year, it was such a similar pivot that brought Rocky into the picture and delivered a momentous WrestleMania.
However, this year, it is in the hands of Dwayne to change the bland course of WrestleMania. For that to happen, the ultimate dream match needs to be brought back on paper where The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns would lock horns with The High Chief The Rock.
