Rob Van Dam makes his feelings known about John Cena’s heel turn at Elimination Chamber PLE

The wrestling world was stunned when John Cena turned heel after 22 years, brutally attacking Cody Rhodes and aligning himself with The Rock. When he appeared on Raw, he was met with a chorus of boos from enraged fans, which he rightly deserved. Several wrestlers, including Rob Van Dam, shared their thoughts on Cena’s surprising heel turn.

While speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, the legendary high flyer praised John Cena’s new persona. He said the 16-time world champion understood his role and executed it perfectly. RVD expressed confidence in his former rival, believing Cena would master his heel character and take it in a direction the WWE Universe wouldn’t expect.

He also recalled Cena’s mettle during their iconic title feud in 2006. The former WWE champion remembered the night of their match and how the crowd booed him heavily. However, he eventually won them over, and that’s when RVD knew Cena was something special.

He knew what to do that night, perfectly. He’s really great at what he does so I think he’s gonna really master the heel persona and take it some places we didn’t expect.”

On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, Cena was met with loud boos from fans in Brussels, Belgium. He blamed the audience for his heel turn, claiming they never cared about his feelings. His rant was interrupted by Cody Rhodes, who challenged him to face his true self at WrestleMania. Chaos is guaranteed when the two stars meet again next week on Raw.

Rob Van Dam opened up about who had the best frog splash along with him

Although he didn’t invent it, Rob Van Dam has made the Frog Splash his signature move. Many wrestlers have used the iconic move, but no one does it better than him. The 55-year-old legend shared his thoughts on who performs the best Frog Splash.

While speaking on Insight, RVD was asked who delivers the best Frog Splash besides himself. He mentioned Logan Paul and Montez Ford, praising their unique styles. The former champion also explained why his version of the Frog Splash became iconic.

“I think Montez Ford definitely. He gets up there. And of course Eddie, that’s the lifelong contendership. Everyone’s gonna compare our frog splashes. Logan Paul’s frog splash, I think it’s pretty good.”

He admitted that the Frog Splash wasn’t a move he originally used. The 55-year-old veteran said he had seen Tonga Kid and Jimmy Snuka perform it before. However, RVD made it his own by delivering it at the highest level.
