Ever since Jey Uso won the Royal Rumble match, there has been one question on everybody’s mind. Everybody was waiting for Jey Uso to pick his WrestleMania opponent. While it was clear considering his history with Cody Rhodes and Gunther, respectively, there was still a lot of doubt in the minds of the audience.
However, this guessing game came to an end on the recent episode of Monday Night Raw. During his entrance, when Jey was yeeting on top of the commentators’ table, he was attacked by the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. The two men had faced each other on multiple occasions before the Royal Rumble event itself.
Following this attack, when Gunther was walking towards the back, Jey Uso grabbed a microphone. He announced what everybody was waiting for. Jey finally announced that he chose to face Gunther at WrestleMania. He has also vowed to leave WrestleMania 41 as the World Heavyweight Champion.
This has set the stage for the main event of one of the two nights. Jey Uso has been red-hot among the fans for the past year. His success in the Royal Rumble along with this match at WrestleMania is well deserved. He will be looking to defeat Gunther and win his first-ever world title.
Jey Uso reveals what John Cena told him after the Royal Rumble win
Jey Uso managed to win the Royal Rumble 2025 after eliminating John Cena. When he eliminated John, it came as a surprise to everyone. While he was celebrating, he was interrupted by the Franchise Player. In the beginning, it seemed like there was going to be some heat between the two men. However, it turned out to be a completely different story.
Following the incident, John raised Jeys hand and declared him the winner. It seemed like a very proud moment for Jey, as this was his first major moment as a singles competitor. John was also seen telling Jey something personally. During his appearance on Daniel Cormier’s YouTube channel, he mentioned what John Cena told him after the victory.
Hey, man,’ he hugged me, he goes, ‘Hey, Uce, I remember your first tour. I said, ‘I always told you and your brother, you guys will be fine. Be yourself.’ And he goes, ‘Look at these people now.’.. Yeah, man, love, love for John Cena. He’s a GOAT.”
It seems like the Royal Rumble winner has a lot of respect for John Cena. He has called him the Goat and also remembers how John made his brother and him feel comfortable during their first tour. Despite John missing out on a World Championship match on his last run, he decided to encourage Jey Uso. Jey also expressed that he has a lot of love for John Cena, especially after this.
