Throughout the years in WWE, there have been multiple appearances that have taken place from under the ring. Wrestlers have appeared out of nowhere on occasions. It is later revealed that they either come quietly from the crowd or from under the ring.
One of WWE’s producers, Nick, was under the ring during SmackDown for his work. He was explaining his excitement about the first SmackDown of 2025 when he ran into someone unexpectedly. Kevin Owens, who is currently one of the top heels of SmackDown, was revealed to be under the ring. When Nick asked KO what he was doing there, he gave him a very straightforward answer.
“I am going to attack Cody; don’t post this.”
Kevin Owens was preparing to attack Cody Rhodes later that night by hiding under the ring. This gives a clear explanation regarding Owens appearing to attack Rhodes after his segment with McIntyre. The dedication that Owens has towards making sure he gets to attack Rhodes is clearly reflected. Hiding under the ring for long periods of time is not an easy job. Considering Owens’ huge build, it makes it more difficult for him.
Kevin Owens is currently set to have his opportunity to capture the WWE Championship. He is going to be facing Cody Rhodes in a ladder match at the Royal Rumble PLE. It has been over five years since he has held a world title. All these actions, like hiding under the ring to attack Rhodes, clearly reflect his willingness and determination to get his hands on the champion and possibly win the title soon.
Kevin Owens and The Usos get into a heated conversation backstage
During the recent episode of SmackDown, Jimmy and Jey Uso were walking backstage. This incident happened after they helped Sami Zayn. Jey Uso ended up bumping into Kevin Owens. Uso told Owens to watch where he was going, to which Owens had a different response. Owens then in return told Uso to watch his back.
This warning was very similar to the one that Drew McIntyre gave to Cody Rhodes before he was attacked by Owens. It is not very clear if the two men are working together secretly.
At the moment, it seems like all the top superstars, irrespective of which brand they are on, are interconnected. Every person seems to have an influence on the other’s storyline. It will be interesting to see how things pan out between all these men in the future. With Drew McIntyre lurking around on SmackDown, now things will be more intense.
