“I think he’s been coming to terms,” 11-time World Champion comments on John Cena’s thought process behind his retirement tour

Adam Copeland, who went by the ring name of Edge in WWE, has been a legend in the wrestling industry. He was a very important part of the same era where John Cena was on top of his game. The two men have shared a very close professional relationship inside the ring. They have faced each other for the World Championship on multiple occasions.

These two wrestling icons have an amazing relationship with each other outside the ring as well. They are not the best of friends, but they respect each other very highly. During Edge’s recent appearance on Liam Crowley’s Screen Rant, he opened up about the brief conversation he had with John regarding their futures when he was part of WWE.

John’s thought this through… He’s an intelligent man, so, I’m sure he’s already come to terms, and I think he’s been coming to terms with it for a long time. I think it’ll be harder for the fan base to come to terms, which usually ends up being the case.”

Adam has rated the former WWE champion very highly. He mentioned that he feels that Cena is a very intelligent individual. With his farewell tour kicking off at Monday Night Raw next week, according to Edge, Cena has everything planned out. The type of in-ring IQ and the type of out-of-the-box ideas that he provides will definitely be entertaining to the fans.

Edge further added that it would be more difficult for the WWE Universe to watch John go. Cena must have mentally prepared himself for his departure from between the ropes; however, the fans are attached to him on a very different level.

A huge number of wrestling fans have started watching WWE because of John Cena. Seeing him step away from something that has made him most popular will definitely be something that will be difficult to watch. John’s has had one of the best careers any wrestler could ever ask for. His farewell tour will be watched very closely from all over the world.

AEW finds a way to use Adam’s WWE name

WWE and AEW are archrivals when it comes to the wrestling industry. Both these big brands constantly try to one-up each other when it comes to television ratings. There have been multiple legends from each brand who have switched over to the other. Adam Copeland, who went by the ring name of Edge in WWE, could not carry forward this name to his other brand. However, Tony Khan and the AEW team have found a way to find a loophole in this system.

They recently launched AEW merchandise with “Ledgend” written on it. It is very evident to everybody what the company is trying to pull off. It seems like this is one of the tricks that All Elite Wrestling might be doing to bring in the wide fan base of WWE to their own promotion. The T-shirt sales of Edge will also help boost them to get more revenue.

Edge has been a very widely respected name in the wrestling industry. His involvement with this new brand will definitely try and make it a major competitor to WWE. The involvement of Adam Copeland and even William Jason Reso, formerly known as Christian, in WWE, has given them an opportunity to overtake their competitors.
