It seems like Ethan Page’s failed attempts to capture the WWE NXT Championship have turned him into a monster. A frustrated Page recently did one of the most brutal things in WWE’s history. Before the evil deed, Page said that he had lost his smile and he did not know if he loved wrestling anymore.
Page mentioned that he was lost after he failed to win the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline. The former NXT Champion then mentioned that he had let down his wife and children since he failed to capture the gold. Between all this, Je’Von Evans came out to try and raise the spirits of Page. What happened next was something no one could predict.
During their conversation, Evans tried to encourage Page. He tried to make him more confident about himself by saying that he should bring out the “real” Ethan Page. Evans even further added that he was proud of him. This all turned into an ugly mess when Page said he shouldn’t worry about losing his smile; he should focus on taking Evans.
Page then attacked Evans with a cheap shot. He then very brutally attacked him and introduced a steel chair. Then he wrapped the steel chair around Evans’s neck. It became much worse when he stomped the chair. This led to Evans coughing out a lot of blood and the medics attending to him. The segment ended with Page saying that this was the real him.

There have been multiple betrayals in WWE. For the most part, it has been from either tag partners or close friends. This one was totally uncalled for. Ethan Page did not seem very happy with the way his career was going. Attacking Evans did not give him anything, but it seems to have given him a lot of confidence. The WWE Universe seems to be furious about this.
While the storyline writing was great, the fans have clearly spotted a lot of fake blood. Fans have even sarcastically written that they hope he is okay. While putting that aside, there have been a lot of praises for this writing. This rivalry is expected to boost the careers of both NXT superstars.
The fans believe that the storyline has a lot of potential. It is set to elevate both of the superstars to the next level. They have credited Ethan for playing the role so well. Meanwhile, Evans has also been highly praised for his perfect selling. Despite the blood bag being spotted, it has not impacted the story in the eyes of the fans. They are still very much interested in what will happen going forward.
