Dominik Mysterio has become one of the most hated superstars in WWE. All this has started ever since he turned his back on his father, Rey Mysterio. At the beginning of his career, while he was in the shadow of his father, he was liked by all the fans. That has completely changed now, and he receives a lot of heat on multiple occasions.
Whenever he puts the microphone near his mouth to cut a promo, he gets booed very loudly. It reaches such an extent that even with a microphone he cannot hear himself. During a live event at Madison Square Garden, something very similar happened. During his match against Seth Rollins, a fan threw a chicken tender at him. Dom was quick to respond to it.
Many believe that the chicken tender was thrown at him considering what Rhea Ripley called him while she was confronting her rival Liv Morgan. She told Morgan that once she would take the Women’s World Championship away from her, the only thing she would be left with would be a chicken tender s**t. After that line on Raw, Rhea immediately glanced at Dominik, which was a clear indication of what she was saying.
It seems like the WWE Universe has taken this very seriously, and they have enjoyed this. Mysterio also totally bought into it as he ate the chicken tender that was thrown at him. He even mentioned that it was the worst-tasting chicken tender he had in New York. His feelings were very clear regarding the food that was thrown at him.
Dominik Mysterio looks back at the death of his uncle Eddie Guerrero
Dominik Mysterio’s father, Rey, and Eddie Guerrero used to be the best of friends. They were very close to each other outside of the ring as well as inside the ring. The two men even once fought in a ladder match for the custody of Dominik. The storyline captured a huge amount of audience and even made a young Dominik familiar with his uncle.
When Eddie died in 2005 due to heart failure, Dominik was still very young. While speaking on No Contest Wrestling, Mysterio revealed that the passing away of Eddie was the first time wrestling broke his heart.
Mysterio further mentioned that he had become very emotional because he knew that he would never get to see his uncle again. He felt very sad because of everything Guerrero had gone through before his departure. Dominik further added that he still watches his old matches at times. Dominik also appreciates the short amount of time he got to spend with him.
