“That Sucks—He’s at the Top Rn”—Seth Rollins Suffers Knee Injury Against LA Knight at Saturday Night’s Main Event

The injury bug has once again affected a top WWE star, and this time, it’s Seth Rollins. At the 40th edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, The Visionary injured his knee during a high-risk maneuver against LA Knight. Rollins landed awkwardly on his feet while performing a Lionsault from the second rope. Unfortunately, his right knee twisted the moment he made contact with the ring canvas.

At that point, the Chicago Bears buff was done for. A WWE doctor and the referee immediately attended to him. Rollins was in visible pain and had a conversation with Paul Heyman while clutching his leg in the corner. In what seemed to be an impromptu ending, The Monday Night Messiah decided he could continue but ended up eating a BFT from Knight and lost. After the match, the Iowa native had to be helped to the back by a couple of staffers.

The Revolutionary has had a history of knee issues over the years in WWE. He infamously tore his ACL, MCL, and meniscus in the same right knee back in November 2015 during a house show against Kane in Dublin. The injury was so severe that Rollins was forced to relinquish his WWE title and miss WrestleMania 32. Unfortunately for fans, several media outlets have reported that the injury suffered by the former Shield member was legitimate.

However, at this point, the severity of the injury is unknown. Also, as per PWInsider, The Architect was originally set to defeat Knight. But due to unforeseen circumstances, plans had to be changed for The Megastar to win instead. However, judging by his reaction, the former Eli Drake didn’t seem pleased with how things turned out in the end.

Fans Show Huge Concern for Seth Rollins After He Suffered a Legitimate Injury Against LA Knight

The Atlanta crowd was left disappointed after Rollins twisted his right knee. Knight quickly won the match by hitting a BFT on the already injured Visionary. Some fans believed it was just a work, meant to set up a surprise Money in the Bank cash-in. However, that wasn’t the case, as multiple sources confirmed the injury was legitimate.

One fan expressed disappointment, saying Rollins was in top form, but injury ruined everything. Another fan suggested organizing a Battle Royal for the MITB briefcase. While some fans prayed for the former Shield member’s recovery, others supported Knight’s rise to the main event. Here are some of the top fan reactions:

One user predicted Karrion Kross would become the top heel on the Raw side. Another user found the ending of the match between Bill Goldberg and Gunther a bit off, holding a glimmer of hope for Rollins to cash in. However, the injury was legitimate, and nothing happened. Overall, most fans felt that future plans were ruined because of The Visionary’s injury.
