Legendary tag team set to have main roster run in WWE after recent victory: Reports

WWE is reportedly hopeful that The Hardy Boyz will stay for a main roster run in the spring or summer. Before their match on last night’s NXT, WrestleVotes tweeted about a new Hardy Boyz shirt being released. The tweet suggested this could be the start of a bigger plan, with creative teams optimistic about a main roster program for the legendary duo.

Matt and Jeff Hardy won their NXT match against Tavion Heights and Myles Borne. This was their first time teaming in a WWE ring since 2019. Their return has sparked excitement among fans, who are eager to see more of the iconic tag team.

The Hardys re-signed with TNA Wrestling in November 2024. Their NXT appearance is possible due to the current partnership between WWE and TNA. Matt Hardy shared that their NXT match was a last-minute arrangement, adding to the surprise of their return.

The Hardy Boyz are also set to appear on this week’s TNA IMPACT. They will team with NXT Champion Oba Femi to face The System (Moose, Brian Myers, and Eddie Edwards). Fans are thrilled to see the Hardys active in both WWE and TNA, with more opportunities on the horizon.

The Hardy Boyz are set to face Fraxiom

The Hardy Boyz are gearing up to defend the TNA World Tag Team Championship at an upcoming WWE premium live event. They made their WWE return on NXT, winning their first tag match in nearly six years against Tavion Heights and Myles Borne of the No Quarter Catch Crew. This marked a significant moment for the legendary duo.

Fraxioma and The Hardy Boyz

After the match, NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom confronted The Hardys, teasing a potential dream match. The tension was interrupted by TNA’s Director of Authority, Santino Marella, who announced a title match between Fraxiom and The Hardy Boyz at Roadblock in Madison Square Garden in two weeks.

The Hardys won’t be the only TNA stars at Roadblock. TNA X-Division Champion Moose is also set to challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Championship. The event promises exciting cross-promotional action, blending WWE and TNA talent for a must-see showdown.
