The entire WWE Universe was excited for the 2025 Royal Rumble matches. Charlotte Flair returned after suffering an ACL injury nearly a year earlier. She went on to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match, becoming the only female star to win the Rumble twice. However, Triple H and his team had also considered another name as the potential winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble.
The recently released Netflix documentary WWE: Unreal revealed that Chelsea Green was considered a great option to win the Royal Rumble. The idea was for 29 other superstars to eliminate themselves, allowing entrant number 30, The Hot Mess, to be declared the automatic winner. Although this would’ve been one of the funniest outcomes fans could’ve imagined, the decision-makers ultimately stuck with Flair as the winner.
Talking about her current run in WWE, Green and the Secret Service have their work cut out for them. On the latest episode of Raw, The Lunatic Lush, Piper Niven, and Alba Fyre teamed up with Naomi to face Nikki Bella, IYO SKY, Stephanie Vaquer, and Rhea Ripley in an 8-Woman Tag Team match, which they lost. Recently, Green became embroiled in controversy after sharing a post about Hulk Hogan’s passing.
After receiving a lot of hate comments under that particular post, Green decided to step away for a while. The inaugural Women’s U.S. Champion stated that the response had overwhelmed her and announced she was taking a break from social media. As of now, she has no clear path to compete at SummerSlam. However, fans hope she makes a splash at the biggest show of the summer.
Chelsea Green Revealed She Was Ready To Do Anything for the Fans’ Entertainment
Sometimes, the WWE Universe forgets how much risk wrestlers take to entertain them. Chelsea Green shares that same mentality, as she doesn’t mind losing if it means getting booked every day. The Hot Mess spoke candidly about this in the Netflix documentary WWE: Unreal.
Green explained that for someone to win, someone else had to take the loss. She admitted she was willing to be that person. The former Women’s U.S. Champion added that she was getting paid a lot just to look like an “ass**le,” and she had no problem with it.
“For somebody to win, somebody else has to lose. I’ll be the loser if that means being booked every day. You want me to pour salsa and cake on my head? Say less. We’re getting paid a lot of money to look like assholes. I’m okay with that.”

Since Triple H rehired her in 2022, Green has become one of the most talked-about stars in WWE. She finally earned the reward for all her years of hard work at Saturday Night’s Main Event in December of last year, where she defeated Zelina Vega to become the first-ever Women’s U.S. Champion.
