She gathered the strength to express her emotions and took to Instagram, where the 45-year-old wrote that the loss had shattered her heart.
She revealed that The Hulkster had been dealing with health issues. However, the yoga instructor added that both of them remained hopeful about Hogan’s recovery. She emphasized that while her husband was a legend to his fans, he meant far more to her on a personal level. Daily highlighted that despite his ailments, the WWE Hall of Famer always made time to meet his fans at various events.
At last, Daily asked everyone to keep him and his family in their prayers. Despite constant denials from The Immortal One’s camp, the larger-than-life personality had not been doing well over the past few months. In fact, Bubba the Love Sponge, a once-close friend of Hogan, repeatedly stated that Hogan’s condition had become so critical that his family was preparing to say a final goodbye to Terry Bollea—the man behind Hulk Hogan—forever.
A representative for Hogan informed TMZ that the former NWO member had been dealing with the same physical discomfort he had battled since his in-ring retirement. They linked the cause of his death to a cardiac arrest, after which medical personnel rushed him to the hospital, but they couldn’t save him.
WWE Paid Tribute to Hulk Hogan on This Week’s SmackDown
On Friday, WWE held its usual SmackDown taping but devoted the broadcast to honoring the immortal legacy of Hulk Hogan. The show opened with a customary 10-bell salute, as numerous members of the WWE roster gathered on the stage to mourn the devastating loss.
Triple H led the tribute and shared a few heartfelt words about the icon and stalwart that Hogan was to the entire pro wrestling industry. WWE brought in legends like “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Sgt. Slaughter, Ted DiBiase, and others to take part in the tribute to The Sterling Golden.
Later in the show, Cody Rhodes cut a promo and stated that the pro wrestling world had lost a giant on Thursday. He acknowledged that some people might have had complicated feelings toward Hogan, but he emphasized that Hogan’s impact on the business was undeniable. The Hulkster had last appeared on WWE programming in January.
