Gunther sends a 2-word message after his match against WWE veteran was announced

Gunther has been the World Heavyweight Champion since he defeated Damian Priest last year at SummerSlam. He’s been a top-tier champion, mocking and taunting his challengers in his ruthless style, then overcoming them in the ring. After a new challenger for his title was announced, he had something to say on social media.

The new challenger for Gunther is none other than AJ Styles, who had an impressive showing in this year’s Royal Rumble. WWE Spain’s official account shared a post in which it was announced that The Ring General would defend his title against Styles on March 14th in Barcelona. It looks like the champ was not at all impressed with the venue.

He took to X and replied to the post, triggering certain Barcelona fans. While his match against Styles was set to take place in the Catalan city, Gunther simply wrote, “Hala Madrid.” The rivalry between the two top football clubs, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, is known worldwide. His response sparked mixed reactions—some fans supported him, while others strongly opposed him.

Well, The Ring General’s opponent for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania has already been decided. He will defend his title against Jey Uso at the Show of Shows. The Yeet Master won the Royal Rumble match back in February. His victory came as a surprise to many fans, especially considering the top stars in the match, including John Cena, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk.

Gunther mocks Alpha Academy members Otis and Akita Tozawa

Gunther has been brimming with confidence after shaking off a disappointing loss to Cody Rhodes a few months ago. Back to his cocky self, he hasn’t stopped trolling his opponents. The Ring General recently did the same with Otis and Akira Tozawa.

After defeating both Alpha Academy members in successive Raw episodes, Gunther took to X and boasted about his in-ring prowess, stating that it didn’t matter if his opponent had a “small neck,” taking a dig at Tozawa, or “no neck,” referring to Otis—he would always win.

“Small neck or no neck, i put them to sleep.”

Talking about the match itself, Otis put up a strong fight, but the champ proved too much for him, ultimately making him submit to his sleeper hold. However, the chaos didn’t end there, as Gunther continued his attack on Otis and Tozawa. Jey Uso attempted to make the save, but with help from Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, Gunther gained the upper hand. Only time will tell who will come out on top at WrestleMania.
