Miro, known as Rusev to WWE fans, and Lana, aka CJ Perry, have been one of the most talked-about couples in the wrestling community. Their on-screen chemistry led to a real-life marriage in 2016. While talking to TMZ, the couple stated that they have reconciled their differences and are now ready to be together again. They further revealed that they started working on their relationship when Rusev returned to Bulgaria in July 2024. Perry even spent quality time with him in his home country in late 2024.
Speaking about their respective wrestling careers, Rusev was released from his WWE contract as part of budget cuts during the COVID-19 pandemic. His ex-wife continued her journey with the company until she was also released a year later. They both worked in AEW as well, but fans didn’t get to see their wrestler-manager pairing.
Recently, the former U.S. Champion wrestled his first match in over a year against Alberto El Patron at the Qatar Pro Wrestling event Super Slam III but suffered a loss. As for CJ Perry, after her final appearance on the July 12, 2024, episode of AEW, she stated that she was no longer with the company.
