Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have become two of the most hated faces across WWE. It seems like at the moment nobody wants to support them or even look at them. This heat has been attracted following them betraying their friend Big E. E, who retired in 2022 due to severe injury, was blamed by both of them for their downfall in WWE. The two men abandoned their former friend and went as far as telling him to leave the ring before they would make him.
This incident happened during the 10-year anniversary of the New Day. Ever since then, the WWE Universe has hated these two men. It now seems like it is not just the fans who have a lot of hatred towards these two superstars. Even wrestlers who are active on the current roster seem to be wishing bad for them.
CM Punk also seems to be agreeing with the fans. Punk has recently been revealed to have also been a fan of the faction. It seems that the betrayal that Woods and Kingston did to E has hurt him as well. While Woods and Kingston have been announced to wrestle on the latest episode of Raw, Punk put out an Instagram story hoping that the two men would wrestle the APA.
It seems like along with a huge section of the WWE Universe, Punk also wants to see the two men get beaten up. The separation of the faction left a lot of fans heartbroken. The New Day was everybody’s favorite faction, and this incident seemed to upset everyone. Even Rey Mysterio, who is seen as a locker room leader, did not allow the two men to use the locker room last month. This resulted in the two men not appearing on Monday Night Raw.
Drew McIntyre opens up about how he felt regarding his rivalry with CM Punk
The rivalry between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk in 2024 was one of the top rivalries for the fans. They enjoyed each and every part of it, from Drew injuring Punk at the Rumble to Punk making sure Drew loses his World title at WrestleMania. There was a lot of heat between the two men, which at one point in time even seemed to be personal.
The rivalry between the two men did not just limit itself to the ring. They even exchanged abuses across multiple social media platforms. Even when they appeared in interviews, they would speak low of each other. However, when Drew McIntyre appeared on The Daily Mail, it seemed like a lot of things had changed. McIntyre spoke very highly of his former rival during the show.
As much as we have certain feelings towards each other, we both are aware we’ve got certain magic with each other…. And if you’re actually good at your job, like we are, it does create magic. And the whole process was magic, and the cell itself was a match that we talked about forever.”
It seems like through this rivalry McIntyre has found a new sense of respect for CM Punk. A lot of superstars do not seem to be very friendly about him. However, it seems like with his performances on television he is earning the respect of others again. He mentioned that his Hell in a Cell match with Punk was pure magic and will be remembered for a long time by both men.
Punk and McIntyre both have announced themselves for the Royal Rumble match. This year’s Rumble match is very unpredictable, and everybody seems to be a favorite to win it. Even though the two men are not in a rivalry at the moment, if the two men cross paths during the match, the fan would love to see them clash once again.
