Drew McIntyre has been one of the most hardworking wrestlers in the company. He has been working tirelessly ever since his return to the company. He has captured the World Championship on three different occasions but never got the correct moment. It seems like Drew has once again got the opportunity to become a World champion.
He qualified for the Elimination Chamber for a title match at WrestleMania on the recent episode of SmackDown. During his interview after the match, he took a dig at John Cena. He mentioned that he does not take shortcuts like Cena and he has earned his way to the chamber.
Despite John being a legend and having contributed so much to the company, Drew feels he did not have the right to just announce himself for the Elimination Chamber. He also mentioned that, unlike Monday Night Raw, SmackDown will always be the land of opportunity. His recent move to the blue brand has proven to be very beneficial for him. It seems like he is very determined to once again become World Champion.
Last year, McIntyre won the Elimination Chamber match to face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania XL. He will be looking to replicate that again. If he manages to do so, he will be waiting for Jey Uso to make his choice and then face the other World Champion. This could be a big moment for him as he could finally win a World Championship in front of a live audience and not lose it in under 10 minutes. With the Money in the Bank contract also not there this year, no one can possibly take away his potential WrestleMania moment.
Drew McIntyre wishes Roman Reigns a happy anniversary
Drew McIntyre has been known for taunting his opponents online. It was no different during his post a few weeks ago. On January 27, 2020, Drew McIntyre had won the Royal Rumble match for the very first time. He had eliminated Roman Reigns to secure his opportunity at WrestleMania 36.
He had put out a tweet mentioning “Happy Anniversary” and even tagging Roman Reigns. It is along with a video attachment of him eliminating Roman Reigns to win the Royal Rumble match back in 2020. The two men currently seem to be having heat as well. This might be a way for him to taunt his rival by reminding him that he was eliminated by him to win the Royal Rumble match.
It has been five years now since this moment. Drew was famously known for carrying the WWE during the pandemic era. Ever since then, he has struggled to reach the top of the mountain once again. With Drew once again qualifying for the Elimination Chamber, he will be looking to have his WrestleMania moment.
