Watch: Bayley Vents Frustration Over Exclusion From SummerSlam 2025 After SmackDown Went off Air

Bayley remains one of the most important stars in the women’s division today. After missing WrestleMania earlier this year, she has been heavily involved in a three-way rivalry with Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch. Unfortunately, after losing to the Bird Lady in a 2-out-of-3 falls match a couple of weeks ago, she currently holds no spot at SummerSlam.

She released all of her anger after the latest episode of SmackDown went off the air. Bayley wrestled Valkyria in a dark match, but before the match, she took a mic to speak her mind. The Role Model revealed that she was not happy with her current situation. She stated that the only reason she wrestled Valkyria for the tag team titles on Raw was so she could be at SummerSlam.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t meant to be, as Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez beat them and retained their titles. Bayley blamed the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion for her absence from SummerSlam. The veteran suffered more disappointment, losing to the Irish-born star immediately afterward in the dark match.

Meanwhile, Valkyria will challenge her Irish mentor and archrival, Lynch, at SummerSlam. Many fans feel disappointed seeing a veteran like Bayley struggle to secure a spot at the biggest event of the summer. She might still play an important role by attacking the Bird Lady and potentially turning heel. It will be intriguing to see what the future holds for her.

Bayley Officially Completes 9 Years on the WWE Main Roster

Bayley is, without a doubt, a first-ballot Hall of Famer for her work in the women’s division. Today marks the start of her 10th year on the WWE main roster. She made her main roster debut on the August 22, 2016, episode of Raw. The Role Model appeared in a segment with Mick Foley and began a rivalry with Charlotte Flair.

Since then, the 36-year-old veteran has won every championship there is to win. She became the first-ever Women’s Grand Slam Champion by winning the tag team titles and the world titles of both brands. Bayley also won the Money in the Bank match and cashed in on Flair that same night. However, 2024 was the year she truly became a legend.

She won the Royal Rumble match, breaking the record for the longest time spent in the match. The Role Model then challenged fellow Damage CTRL member Iyo Sky for the WWE Women’s Title, turning face in the process. Not only that, Bayley went on to defeat her to become the World Champion at WrestleMania XL. The 36-year-old veteran will always be one of the greatest female wrestlers to ever step foot in the squared circle.
