Bayley Breaks Silence on Drama With Becky Lynch and Four Horsewomen

Bayley, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Sasha Banks ushered in a new era of women’s wrestling during their NXT tenure. Many consider these four stars the ones who paved the way for the current era of athleticism in WWE’s women’s division. The Role Model has addressed the complicated relationship between WWE’s Four Horsewomen amid her feud with Lynch on Raw.

Speaking on Raw Recap, Bayley noted that she was never super close with Lynch or Flair behind the scenes. She called her relationship with the other Horsewomen ‘complicated.’ The former Women’s Champion revealed that the four women never met for dinner after matches, especially her and Lynch. Bayley further added that she could understand the animosity between herself and The Man.

The Damage CTRL member claimed that Lynch had some insecurity and jealousy toward her. However, she did not expect the hatred from The Man after all they had been through. Bayley was supposed to fight Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the tag titles at WrestleMania 41. Unfortunately, she was attacked by a mysterious attacker, revealed to be Lynch, who took her place with Lyra Valkyria.

“I feel it’s a little complicated, it’s a very, like, sisterly, family type situation when it comes to the four of us. If I’m being quite honest, I’ve never really been close to Becky. I’ve never rode to shows together with her, I’ve never been close to Charlotte.”

After almost two months of hiatus, Bayley returned on Raw after the Money in the Bank PLE. She attacked Lynch and took her revenge, much to the surprise of the former Women’s Intercontinental Champion. The Man will defend her title against her fellow Horsewoman next week on Raw. It will be intriguing to see who comes out on top.

Bayley Reveals When She Plans To Take Retirement From Wrestling

In one of the excerpts from the Chris Van Vliet interview, Bayley dove into her wrestling retirement plans. She started by explaining that the entire Damage CTRL story was chapter 4 in her career, which was extremely special to her. There might be a couple more chapters left.

On whether she has made up her mind about when to hang up her wrestling boots for good, there’s no decision as of now. However, when she was growing up, Bayley used to think that 35 would be the cutoff age for retirement. That is her current age, and she’ll turn 36 in June.

The erstwhile Hugger cited Trish Stratus and Lita as her heroes, who had relatively shorter in-ring careers. They still left an indelible mark on an entire generation of budding female wrestlers. Moreover, Bayley also lauded Natalya for her longevity. The Role Model believed that she has a lot to offer the locker room, and that’s what continues to drive her.
