However, during the rumble, something very unexpected happened. Reigns and Rollins completely got caught in the heat of the moment and were constantly attacking each other. Punk took advantage of this situation and eliminated both of them. However, due to this, Punk got distracted and was eliminated by Logan Paul. All three men were unsuccessful in punching their ticket to WrestleMania.
It has now been rumored that the three men will face each other at WrestleMania. The match between all three of them is going to be a triple-threat match. This would make a lot of sense since all three men have a lot of history with each other. Reigns and Rollins have a story that does not need to be told. Meanwhile, Punk, ever since his return, has had a very heated rivalry with Rollins. He was also involved in helping Roman Reigns with his family business.
However, him eliminating Roman from the Rumble has caused heat between both of them as well. There is also a favor that Paul Heyman owes CM Punk. It has still not been revealed what it exactly is. The next PLE, which is the Elimination Chamber, will definitely be watched closely by everyone. If this match is rumored, that means that there is a possibility that neither of these three men will win the chamber match.
CM Punk gives honest opinion on Jey Uso’s Roayl Rumble win
CM Punk was considered to be one of the favorites to win the Royal Rumble match. He came very close to winning it last year, finishing as the runner-up. This year he was eliminated by Logan Paul after he got distracted following him eliminating Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns together. While this loss might come as a disappointment, Punk seems very happy about one thing.
During his latest appearance on the Good Guy/Bad Guy podcast, Punk mentioned that he was happy with Jey Uso winning. He further mentioned that he did not want John Cena to win. It seems like even after all these years, the rivalry and hate between the two remain the same.
Jey winning is fantastic. When you have somebody in there like John Cena that everyone is going to immediately assume, ‘LOL Cena is going to win.’
While expressing his future ambitions, he mentioned that one of the main reasons why he wanted to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match was so that he could slap John Cena. He also mentioned that his dream to main event WrestleMania is not over. It seems like he has a lot of ambition and passion in him to finally headline the Grandest Stage of Them All.
