12-time Champion Breaks Silence After Losing Titles in “Unfair” Match on Raw

The WWE Universe witnessed new tag champions crowned on Raw. Judgment Day members JD McDonagh and Finn Balor defeated The New Day to reclaim the tag titles. After suffering a heavy loss and losing their beloved championship, one half of The New Day, Xavier Woods, broke his silence on social media.

Woods took to X and claimed that he and Kofi Kingston were robbed of their tag titles. In his opinion, The Judgment Day never should’ve received a title opportunity in the first place. The former King of the Ring called The New Day the “greatest tag team of all time” and vowed to make things right.

Kofi and Woods turned heel on the December 2nd episode of Raw last year.

They kicked out fan-favorite Big E from their group, despite his serious neck injury from 2022. Many fans initially called their heel turn a miss. However, they eventually won the tag titles from the War Raiders at WrestleMania 41.

“Jugement Day was given a title match for NO REASON. They weren’t even number one contenders. That match should have never happened. More unfair treatment of the greatest tag team of all time. This will be rectified.”

Talking about the match between The New Day and The Judgment Day, the bout was chaotic from start to finish. In a rare match with no surprise interference, Balor hit a Coup de Grace on Woods to win the tag titles. The 38-year-old star assured fans that The New Day would rise from the ashes once again after the setback.

Xavier Woods and JD McDonagh scuffle after their tag team match on social media

Despite earning a clean win over them, JD McDonagh can’t seem to shake off Xavier Woods. Both stars continued their rivalry on social media following their match on Raw. When the Irish star posted a video flaunting his newly won tag titles, Woods couldn’t resist dropping a fiery comment.

The former King of the Ring took to X and said he hated McDonagh. It’s safe to say the feeling was mutual, as the Irish wrestler fired back with a savage response. McDonagh claimed he had both of Woods’ nameplates removed from the title and thrown in his kitchen bin. Fans now expect the rivalry between the two to continue in the coming weeks.

“I chucked your side plates in my kitchen bin”

Despite being a heel, McDonagh earned fan support after suffering a horrific injury against the War Raiders three months ago. He finally returned at WrestleMania 41, helping fellow Judgment Day member Dominik Mysterio win the Intercontinental Title. It will be intriguing to see which tag team steps up to challenge for the titles in the coming weeks.
