Shinsuke Nakamura is one of the biggest names in wrestling all over the world. He was part of New Japan Pro Wrestling for a long period of time before his move to WWE NXT. The former United States Champion made his WWE debut back in 2016. However, Nakamura was absent from WWE Television for a long period of time.
He made a surprise return on the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The former Intercontinental Champion seems to have immediately gone after the current United States Champion, LA Knight. It seems like the Japanese wrestler has made his intentions clear.
LA Knight had just defended his United States Championship in an open challenge. However, his celebration was short-lived as he was attacked from behind. The WWE Universe was quick to break into a mixed reaction after realizing who the attacker was. It seems that upon his return he plans on going after championship gold.
The fans seem to be very happy to see him again. There were rumors that he had secretly parted ways with the company, but now it has been cleared. He only made appearances in house shows this year and not on TV. Nakamura also competed on WWE tours around Japan, Germany, and the UK.
La Knight admits to getting into trouble with WWE management
LA Knight has had a very amazing reception from the WWE Universe since his arrival. The backing that he got from the fans has got him to become the United States champion as well. He has held the championship for over 100 days now. His victory over former champion Logan Paul has elevated his career. However, while speaking to SPORTbible, he admitted that sometimes he falls into trouble with management.
Knight mentioned that he tries to balance things out with management. According to him, sometimes it does work, and sometimes it does not. Knight did admit that the management gives him his freedom and lets him do what he wants most of the time.
Knight seems to be working very hard as United States Champion. He recently retained his championship in a triple-threat match at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia. His character is also one of the most interesting ones to watch on SmackDown.
