The Judgment Day was one of the most dominant factions in WWE, especially before WrestleMania 40. The faction had the Women’s World Champion, Mr. Money in the Bank, and even the Tag Team Championships. Ever since the division of the group, things have been very different in the careers of each respective member. Rhea Ripley and Dominic Mysterio, who used to be inseparable, are now on opposite sides. There were two men who were the Tag Team Champions together but now are bitter rivals of each other.
Damian Priest and Finn Balor, at one point in time, were the best of friends. They even held the tag team championships for 6 months together. Both men were even dominant in single action when they had the other one managing. However, ever since the events of WWE SummerSlam, both men have not seen eye to eye.
It all started in the absence of Rhea Ripley when Priest started to act like the leader of the group. This led to the total downfall and separation of almost all the members of The Judgment Day. Just when it seemed like things had ended between the two, Balor appeared at Survivor Series and screwed Priest’s chance of regaining the World Heavyweight Championship. He even put out a tweet after his actions, which hints that the story between these two men is far from over.
Both men, who are former World Champions, are not exactly on the best of terms. They will be looking forward to facing each other very soon. Balor’s actions, which have cost Priest the World Heavyweight Championship, will not be forgotten so soon.
Damian Priest lashes out on The Judgment Day backstage post-loss to Gunther
It seemed like Damian Priest wanted revenge for what happened during the Survivor Series. Finn Balor’s interference during his World Title match cost him a major chance of regaining the championship he once held.
After the match, WWE shared footage backstage in which Damian started a brawl between himself and The Judgement Day. Priest gets outnumbered during the brawl and is laid out before Raw General Manager Adam Pearce intervenes.
WWE has not provided any update regarding any kind of injury sustained by him. It seems that there is a lot of bad blood between Priest and his former faction. It will be interesting to see where the rivalry leads in the next episode of Monday Night Raw.
