Pat McAfee breaks silence after Triple H confirms he will be returning to WWE commentary full-time for Raw on Netflix

Pat McAfee has been a very lively voice on WWE television. The former commentator was known for entertaining the WWE Universe from the commentary desk and even with some action in the ring physically. While calling the match, he has been known for the type of over-the-top reactions that he gives in the background. It also seems like he has a very good connection with the wrestlers.

One of the best moments was when Jey Uso was making his entrance and Pat decided to join in on the arm-raising entrance celebration. He could be seen standing on his commentator’s desk and following along with the WWE Universe and Jey Uso. McAfee had taken a short break from professional wrestling commentary to be a part of ESPN’s College GameDay team. It has now been revealed by Triple H that he will be returning to WWE from Raw’s debut on Netflix onwards. The Game put out a tweet on his X account regarding this.

Pat replied to the tweet by saying that he was very grateful for this opportunity again. His departure from WWE did not seem very fitting to the fans. They wanted to see him back in commentary, and their demands have been fulfilled. McAfee further added that he looks forward to praising certain WWE superstars while also letting the whole world know others are scumbags.

The WWE has been pulling out almost every trick in the bag to make the Netflix debut amazing. With the type of effort that they are putting in, it might turn out to be the greatest episode of Monday Night Raw. Multiple music artists, along with legends returning, have also been announced for the event.

WWE to remain family-friendly

WWE is set to undergo massive change in 2025. Netflix, which is one of the largest streaming platforms in the world, is going to become the new home of Monday Night Raw. This change had a lot of questions going around the future of WWE’s show ratings. It was later confirmed during an event that WWE will continue to be family-friendly.

During a collaboration event of WWE and Netflix, Nick Khan made this announcement while there were multiple business discussions. This has been very important since Netflix has a lot of non-family-friendly content. The move to the red streaming platform had a lot of people wondering if WWE would remain PG.

We’re not changing the rating of our programming…There’s some online chatter about ‘oh it’s going to be R-rated—or for us old folks—X-rated…’ that’s definitely not happening. It’s family friendly, multigenerational, advertiser-friendly programming. It’s going to stay that way.

A huge percentage of fans consists of children, according to Nick. Suddenly changing the television programming to non-PG would only lead to a decline in viewership. There are families who sit together and watch wrestling in their houses. Wrestling has not only brought friends together, but it has also gotten families closer. Keeping this aspect in mind, WWE is going to continue to remain PG.
