Drew McIntyre takes shots at former WWE champion after getting inspired by Kevin Owens’ savageness

Drew McIntyre has won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship 3 times. Out of which he won it twice at Wrestlemania. However, his WrestleMania movement was stolen as Damian Priest cashed in the Money in the Bank contract following Drew being attacked by CM Punk.

After that, McIntyre faced Priest at Clash at The Castle but failed to regain the title. After that, he went into a feud with CM Punk, but it seems that the Scottish Warrior is now again taking shots at Priest. It seems like he has not forgotten his moment being stolen. He had won the world title following a hard-fought match against Seth Rollins.

Drew recently put out a tweet on his X account. This tweet consisted of a video of him covering Priest’s face on a picture. The picture consisted of the WrestleMania moment when Priest raised the world title. He even gave it the caption “Can I steal your homework but change it a little bit?”  It was a reference to Kevin Owens doing the same to Cody Rhodes after stealing his title. It looks like Owens’ actions have inspired McIntyre for revenge.

The two men have not been involved in a storyline together yet. This might be an indication of things to come in the future. It could also possibly be a fun way for Drew to get back at Damian Priest. McIntyre currently is dealing with all the members one by one of the Original Bloodline. Meanwhile, Priest is dealing with his former tag team partner, Finn Balor.

Backstage update on how WWE feels about Drew McIntyre

Last week when Drew McIntyre appeared on The Busted Open Radio Holiday Party, he ended up walking out of the interview. It happened after he spoke his mind about internet wrestling fans.

He mentioned that he stays away from his family for a long period of time for WWE. According to him, wrestlers deserve a lot of respect, which a huge number of internet fans do not give. WrestleVotes on their X account has now reported that WWE loved his reaction.

It seems that the whole angle that took place on the talk show made Drew more likable. Despite him playing a heel character, this outside-the-ring interaction made the fans more inclined to see him succeed. There are also multiple other wrestlers who have supported him on this.

This angle can also be used in the near future if WWE plans on making him a good guy. Such interactions outside the ring really pull in a lot of fan support. This will also boost his confidence considering his return to the ring from injury.
