RCB’s Josh Hazlewood sent a blunt message as several overseas stars leave IPL 2025 ahead of the WTC final

Royal Challengers Bengaluru reached the IPL final for the fourth time in their history. Most of the credit goes to their bowlers, especially Josh Hazlewood, who made a comeback after an injury. After the dominating victory over the Punjab Kings, Hoff sat down and answered questions in a post-match interview.

Playing his first IPL match since April 27th, the Australian pacer stated that it didn’t matter where he bowled; he just needed to bowl before the WTC final. Hazlewood continued by saying that there was no better place to raise the intensity than the IPL. The 34-year-old star bowler further added that he didn’t have to change much of his bowling length due to the pitch.

While talking about his recovery from a shoulder injury, Hoff stated that he had been working hard for the past few days to get better. He claimed that while bowling, he was definitely feeling better and was doing fine. The Australian pacer also praised how the wicket played and said that he didn’t have to nail those yorkers.

Talking about the match itself, the Punjab batters had no answers to the RCB bowlers. While Suyash Sharma and Hazlewood took 3 wickets each, Yash Dayal took 2, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Romario Shepherd chipped in as well. The Bengaluru side easily chased the target, thanks to Phil Salt’s important half-century and valuable contributions from Mayank Agarwal and Rajat Patidar.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru side broke multiple records in their historic run to IPL final

This year, RCB has been performing like a complete unit. Many fans even believe that the class of 2025 is the best team they have ever assembled. All the players have stepped up in different matches and helped the team win crucial games. One of the unbelievable records they broke was winning all 7 of their away matches in a single season.

They finally won a match at Chepauk and handed CSK their biggest loss in terms of runs. Not only that, RCB also defeated other big teams like MI and KKR on their home grounds. After winning a historic run chase against the Lucknow Super Giants, the Bengaluru side completed victories in all 7 of their away matches in a single season — a feat no team had accomplished before.

This season, 9 different RCB players have won the Man of the Match award out of the 14 matches they have played. From the main team, only Bhuvneshwarand Dayal are yet to win the award. The fans from Bengaluru will be hoping for an amazing performance from both of them in the final.
