“Laga diye nazar” Internet roasts Vijay Mallya after his post on RCB’s win against LSG

RCB finished in the top 2 with a historic run chase against the Lucknow Super Giants. Jitesh Sharma destroyed the LSG bowling lineup as he took his side over the line by scoring 85 runs off just 33 balls. Mayank Agarawal, Phil Salt, and Virat Kohli also made valuable contributions in the chase. After the successful chase, the Red Army received a congratulatory message from a controversial figure.

The former owner of the RCB, Vijay Mallya, took to X and shared a message expressing his joy after the win. He congratulated the team on achieving their record chase with 9 balls to spare — the third-highest in the history of the IPL. Mallya also highlighted the Bengaluru side’s unique record of winning all 7 of their away matches.

He hoped that RCB would carry on the momentum in their upcoming matches. Not only that, the former Kingfisher owner confidently claimed that the Bengaluru side would qualify for the playoffs once their injured players returned to the team. Talking about the match, their bowling disappointed once again, as LSG captain Rishabh Pant scored a century and helped the team post a mammoth total of 228.

RCB batters needed to fire from ball one, and they did exactly that. Although Salt and Kohli contributed by scoring runs at a strike rate of over 150. But the real hero was an unexpected one. Bengaluru’s middle-order batters Mayank Agarwal and Jitesh Sharma won the game for their team by playing impactful innings. While Agarwal scored 41 runs off just 23 balls, Sharma became the Man of the Match for his exceptional innings of 85 runs at a strike rate of 257.58.

Fans troll Vijay Mallya after he comments on RCB’s win in an important match against LSG

The cricketing world was shocked to see a controversial figure like Mallya commenting on Bengaluru’s victory. However, it wasn’t the first time he had congratulated them on social media, as he regularly posted comments whenever his formerly owned team played well.

One fan told him to come to India, indicating that many people were eagerly awaiting his arrival. Another fan was surprised by his bravery, stating that he shared a post even when there wasn’t a bank holiday. Some fans claimed that RCB wouldn’t win a trophy until Mallya returned to India. Here are some of the top reactions from fans:

One user challenged him to come to the country to watch the IPL final. Another user was simply confused about whether he was still RCB’s owner or not. Some fans believed that his comment would be a bad omen for the Red Army and that they would lose their Qualifier 1 match against PBKS. Many fans even challenged him to clear all his loans if RCB managed to win this year’s IPL.
