Creator of the popular Streamer Awards and Twitch creator QTCinderella recently revealed how she lost one sponsor in the final hour because of just one nominee. The Streamer Awards is one of the most loved awards shows when it comes to the streaming industry.
From IShowSpped to Kai Cenat to Valkyrae, almost every big name from the streaming world attended the event despite their busy schedule. While celebrating the success of the streaming industry, the show also honors the top creators of the year.
However, despite its popularity, the show is never profitable because of the massive budget.
Speaking on the PressESC podcast with Valkyrae and Alythuh, QT revealed that this year the show seemed to be on the profitable side, but unfortunately, one sponsor pulled out just in the final hour because of a single nominee.
She said, “Well, a sponsor pulled out at the last second. It was the first year it was almost profitable, but they pulled out at the last second. I was so sad.”
To which Twitch streamer Valkyrae fumed with anger and called the act disgusting. She even requested Q2TCinderella to reveal the sponsor’s identity so that she could avoid working with them in the future because of the unprofessional behavior. To which QT replied, “You’ll still want to.”
That’s not all. QT then further went to name the sponsor and even name the nominee because of whom the sponsor pulled out last minute. The podcast editor carefully cut the names, as it is now impossible to even guess who they were talking about.
The partners that were present at the event are Mountain Dew, Fortnite, PC Game Pass, YouTube, and games like Honkai: Star Rail, Teamfight Tactics, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and Rogue Point. So, it’s not one of them, that’s for sure.
However, the editor’s work didn’t stop fans from speculating about the nominee. The majority of fans believe that it was HasanAbi because of his ongoing feud with Destiny.
