Kevin Owens has been in the headlines ever since he betrayed Randy Orton. The former WWE Universal Champion has been one of the best heels on SmackDown. On the most recent episode of the Blue Brand, Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes finally came face to face after a long period of time. Kevin Owens decided to finally explain his actions. KO not only blamed Rhodes for being a bad friend but also for sending Randy Orton to the hospital.
Kevin explained to the WWE Champion that The Bloodline and Roman Reigns tried to end his career for 4 years. Meanwhile, Kevin was there when Cody needed him in times of difficulty. He said that he got really angry when Cody decided to team up with Roman Reigns when the OTC had nobody in his corner. Kevin felt that his friend had betrayed him by joining his rival and taking his side.
“You teamed with the guy that tried to end my career… so yeah, everything that happened is your fault.”

Kevin Owens even said that he loved The Viper but always had hate for Cody Rhodes. After serious accusations, the WWE Champion challenged him to a match. However, Owens declined it by saying that he was in no mood to fight and would do it when he wanted to.
It seems that Randy Orton being out of the picture has now drawn Cody Rhodes into the spotlight of Kevin Owens’ target. Both these men have a history with The Bloodline, but it seems that it has affected their friendship. Kevin further promised that he would cross all the limits when he got the chance to face Cody Rhodes.
Cody Rhodes gets into heated altercation backstage with SmackDown superstar
The WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes ended up having a backstage brawl with WWE superstar Carmelo Hayes. This incident took place on the recent episode of SmackDown. Rhodes was seen walking backstage after his heated confirmation with Kevin Owens.
While passing by, Rhodes heard Carmelo Hayes talking badly about him. As Rhodes was already in a fiery mood after a confrontation with Owens, he didn’t let it slide. Rhodes confronted Hayes and it ended up starting a heated conversation between the two. Hayes, in his defense, mentioned that he just said what everybody was afraid to say.
I’m just saying what everybody else is saying. They’re saying that he’s telling the truth, man. But nobody’s telling the truth louder than Randy Orton’s neck. That’s all I’m going to say,

Things quickly got heated and both men almost got into a backstage fight. This was avoided due to the interference of SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. It seems like the Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes rivalry has also gotten other superstars involved. It will be very interesting to see in what way the Prizefighter plans to get back at Cody in the near future.
