In the opening segment of the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk came out to the ring to address the fans. While he was on the microphone, he was interrupted by Seth Rollins. They then had a lot of heated exchange of words. The heated back and forth quickly turned into a chaotic brawl all over the arena.
It started with Punk mentioning that he was glad not to hear Rollins’ terrible entrance music. He further added that Seth Rollins belongs in the audience with all the CM Punk fans. Rollins replied by saying that when Punk abandoned this place, he carried it on his back. He also told Punk that this “fan” has got more WrestleMania main events than Punk will ever have.
This whole interaction riled up both men. They started to brawl all around the arena and even in the crowd. It took almost all the security members and even Raw General Manager Adam Pearce to come and separate the two men from each other. Despite their best attempts, they would constantly get back to each other and throw punches at each other.
It was later revealed by Adam Pearce via X that both men will be going head to head on January 6, 2025. The WWE is making sure to make the Raw debut on Netflix is one of the biggest events. There are going to be multiple superstars present over there. This dream match between two amazing superstars will also help spark more interest in the already-stacked show.
CM Punk gives a reminder to Paul Heyman about owed favor
There has been an update on the partnership between CM Punk and Paul Heyman. Punk had agreed to join Roman Reigns and the Original Bloodline at Survivor Series if Paul Heyman helped him. This help was mentioned as a owed favor during all the promos.
CM Punk shared a still of Don Vito Corleone, played by Marlon Brando in The Godfather, that read
“Someday, and that day may never come, I will call upon you to do a service for me.”
Heyman would go ahead and repost the story on his Instagram story. He would also add CM Punk’s iconic Cult of Personality theme to his story. There seems to be something going on between the two men that has not been revealed yet.
The alliance of these two men in the past has given Punk a lot of success. Heyman, who owes CM Punk a favor, seems to be doing everything to help his friend. However, it has not yet been revealed what the favor is. It will be interesting to see what it will be once it is revealed down the line.
