Streaming sensation Valkyrae has recently responded to her ex-boyfriend and fellow streamer Michael ‘Sonii’ Sherman for being toxic in their relationship. The couple were reported to be together for 4 years before parting ways back in 2020.
The entire fiasco started when Rae, alongside her podcast co-host Alythuh, brought back her ex’s topic while cosplaying as DC Comics’ Starfire.
In one segment, Alythuh handed over a gift box to the popular personality that had her ex’s voodoo doll in it. As soon as Rae spotted the doll, Alythuh explained, “I made a voodoo doll of your ex. I hate that man.”
To which Valkyrae shockingly replied, “Alyssa… that is the most deranged sh*t. Oh my god. Why does it actually look like him, bro? This is so troll.”
Reacting to the clip, Sonii shared a message on X (now deleted), highlighting how their relationship was toxic from both ends. He even revealed a few more details, such as how they never cheated on each other during their romantic involvement and were hurt for their reason, as no one is to be blamed.
Sonii wrote, “All I’ve done these past few years is try to live a peaceful life without you in it. Our relationship was toxic on both sides, but nobody ever cheated or was physically abusive. We both were hurt for our own reasons & hopefully healed at our own paces.”
He concluded the message by explaining he has no other way of contacting Rae but is open to any clarification if she wants to.
Hours after the message, Valkyrae hit back at the accusation on her stream as she explained, “I’m curious how both sides were toxic. Like the only toxic thing I did was get back with him over and over and over again. And not become a housewife.”
That’s not all. Rae further explained how they talked in private and during their conversation; she “pointed out every part of that tweet to him, which was not true. I knew for a fact I never blocked him because I wanted him to reach out and apologize.”
At the time of writing, Sonii has now deleted his post, and the voodoo doll clip has been removed. However, another detail that caught fans’ eyes was just hours after the PressESC podcast posted, “Cheater and liar episode coming soon!” The post was deleted after a few hours.
