The much-awaited Season 2 of the highly popular and one of the most-watched Netflix series, Squid Game, is out. The South Korean survival thriller show was an instant hit as it ended on a cliffhanger.
Season 1 had a gripping storyline, garnering massive reviews from fans and critics alike. For the uninitiated, the survival show focuses on hundreds of course-strapped survivalists competing in different games to empty prize money. However, the stakes are deadly, as the losers of each game will face instant death.
However, MrBeast’s Beast Games has spared the internet a debate about which survival game show is worth watching. Although the budgets of these shows differ massively, friendly competition is always welcomed.
In a brilliant move, MrBeast is using the head-to-head release to promote the release of Beast Games episode 3, which perfectly coincides with Squid Game 2. This way he is making direct competition to one of the most-watched Netflix series of all time.
The friendly competition started when Netflix teased the Squid Game release in 24 hours, to which MrBeast replied, “Fighting the urge to say Beast Games episode 3 also drops in 24 hours.”
Well, that’s not all. Beast continued the clash when Netflix dropped its 12-hour warning. The YouTube sensation replied, “Can’t wait! Beast Games episode 3 also drops then,” he posted as a reply to Netflix’s post.
However, this doesn’t stop here. Of course, Netflix also posted as soon as Squid Game 2 was available worldwide, and MrBeast tried to turn it around to shift the attention to his show. He replied, “So is… um… Beast Games episode 3!”
MrBeast’s comments got quite a lot of reactions from fans as well. While the majority of viewers seem to be liking the entire competition, a few even pointed out how they don’t care about MrBeast’s game show and there is no comparison between the two.
With that being said, Season 3 of Squid Game is available on Netflix, and Beast Games Episode 3 is available on Amazon Prime.
