PewDiePie is known for his bold takes, and this time the YouTuber has taken a brutal dig at Joe Rogan, as he called him ‘dumb.’
On November 28, 2024, PewDiePie posted a YouTube video titled, “Podcasts have gone too far,” where he takes major hits at podcasts as a whole. As per the Swedish YouTuber, nowadays everybody has their own podcast, which doesn’t even make sense.
He then specifically targeted the biggest podcast of all time, The Joe Rogan Podcast, and even called it ‘respectfully very dumb.’ PewDiePie said, “I had this epiphany. I’m like, ‘Oh, he’s the biggest podcast. I’ve never actually listened to him.’ So I listened to an episode. I’m like, ‘Oh, he’s actually respectfully, very dumb. It’s clearly working for him, but it also shows just how dumb he is.

Continuing his train of thought, PewDiePie further added, “I saw some meme where it kind of just showed him as a caveman, and then he brings in a scientist and is like ‘you explain fire now, explain how he works,’ and that’s kind of it summarized [his podcast].”
That’s not all; the YouTube sensation further showcased a range of different short clips from the podcast, highlighting exactly what has gone wrong with podcasts these days. The clips had many viral moments from Joe Rogan’s podcast, including Donald Trump‘s appearance before the 2024 US Presidential election and a montage of Rogan not understanding jokes.
Not only that, but he also attacked several other podcast presenters and the podcast industry in general, describing how these hosts needlessly divulge private information about themselves and others on a public stage in order to attract listeners and garner fame.
He went on to give a few examples, such as when KSI appeared on Sidemen’s podcast, Sidecastin, and disclosed that he only takes a shower once a week.
Addressing viewers’ concern over the increasing number of podcast shows with unnecessary details and guests, PewDiePie concluded, “It’s funny because people are not that interesting—not everyone is fascinating enough to have a podcast.” They also noted the growing concerns about the impact of podcasts “affecting society.”
With that being said, despite the podcast’s surging popularity, it seems like PewDiePie is not convinced.
