Internet sensation IShowSpeed recently admitted a normal 9-5 job is a bit harder than streaming as a profession. The controversial topic has been a topic of discussion on the internet for a long time.
While content creators/streamers tend to think streaming is harder than a normal 9 to 5, people who have been in the corporate setting have their own opinions regarding the same. Many prominent personalities have chimed in with their opinion.
Political streamer Hasan talked about the challenges of being a streamer, thus signifying his profession as harder than a normal job. OTK co-founder Asmongold quickly agreed with him, raising quite a lot of eyebrows.
That’s not all. In November 2024, Plaqueboymax reignited the debate after saying being a streamer was the more difficult. However, now, it seems like the tables have turned as popular personality IShowSpeed opened up about his opinion. As per the YouTuber, he started working at the age of 15 in the kitchen of a caretaking home and found the job quite draining compared to what he is doing right now.
When asked about whether or not streaming is harder than 9-5, Speed very calmly replied, “When I was 15, I did have a job. I worked in the kitchen of a caretaking home, and I was, like a server, I would bring them the food and deliver the food. And let me tell you this: no, no, when I worked there, it was way harder. It’s just draining, you know.”
As anticipated, multiple social media platforms clipped and shared the comment, eliciting a plethora of online reactions. While the majority of viewers backed up Speed’s opinion, a few even praised him for being honest while other creators chose to put their profession ahead.
Speed is currently on the Tour of New Zealand and Australia. His next destination will be South Africa in 2025.
