The kid’s favorite food franchise, McDonald’s, has collaborated with Dragon Ball Daima for a line of anime-inspired meals. The meal is perfect for all the anime lovers but getting them is not as simple as you think.
On November 13, 2024, McDonald’s Hong Kong took to its Instagram and Facebook to announce the much-awaited collaboration. The promotional video featured kid Goku with new and improved combo meals, including fries, a katsu-style cutlet sandwich, and fried dough balls, and of course the special Katsu burger.
The value meal with fries and a drink is priced at HK$39 (approx. US$5). Giving just a hint of that “Dragon Ball Z feels,” the fried balls resemble the seven magical Dragon Balls. Talking about the anime-inspired packaging, fans can spot their favorite characters, including Goku, Piccolo, and Bulma.
Now, the main question: how to get the Dragon Ball McDonald’s meals? At the time of writing, the anime-inspired meal is only available in Hong Kong. The other McDonald’s locations in Hong Kong won’t be getting this anytime soon.
The North American chains had other popular anime-themed meals in the past, including Jujutsu Kaisen Special Grade Garlic sauce and Yu-Gi-Oh! Happy Meal toys featuring fan-favorite Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters.
That’s not all; McDonald’s is known for their different collaborations, and this includes the recently introduced Bestie Bundle meal that comes with limited-edition friendship bracelets. This came just a month after the viral Friends-themed Happy Meal for adults.
