Mind-blowing twists, stellar performances, gripping suspense, extraordinary visuals, and of course, a dynamic storyline: Games of Throne is not just an ordinary fantasy series but a revolution. And that’s precisely why this fantasy drama series is now in the making of a movie.
As per the reports, HBO and Max CEO Casey Bloys confirmed that the movie is in the making. However, the movie actually has a long way to go before fans can witness the “winter is coming” again, and that too on a big screen.
As per the CEO, the work is currently in its development process, and based on the storyline and script, they will consider whether to take this project to the big screens.
Bloys said, “They’re going to develop ideas. We’ll see if it’s good. We’ll read the scripts along with them. I think it could be fun and interesting. I mean, that’s the point of development. You see, ‘Is there a story that’s worthy of being in theaters and a big spectacle?’ I think it would be fun.”
That’s not all; Bloys further confirmed the involvement of George R.R. Martin in the process of developing the potential movie.
Continuing further, he added, “We love George, obviously. I want him to be happy. He’s very important to us. But when we put shows together, we’re putting marriages together. Marriage can be difficult, especially in the creative decisions of adapting work. Sometimes it gets rocky. Would I prefer that everybody get along? Of course, but it’s a creative process.“
Notably, this is just one of several continuations of Game of Thrones planned by HBO, but the only one so far set for the big screen.

Games of Throne has been one of the most loved series around the world, shattering all records. The fantasy drama series, based on the continents of Westeros and Essos, became an instant fan favorite from the very first season back in 2011.
Since then, it has gone on to shatter multiple records and has been able to rack up many prestigious awards as well as a number of impressive Guinness World Records titles. The final season of the series (Season 8) had an average of 44.2 million viewers per episode, easily making it the most-watched season of the series.
That’s not all; this is one of the most pirated television series of all time, as the season finale was illegally downloaded and watched for a whopping 54 million times.
